I am sorry that she had suffered with cancer for so long. To Karen’s family I want to say how sorry I am to learn of her death. Just like you, I cling to God’s Amazing Grace and His sovereignty in trying to understand. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Sam Schlosser, daughters Amee Schlosser and Lori Schlosser , and her brother Gary Germann. Louella cherished her many nieces and nephews and did her best to keep up with them, always wanting to hear about their families. She especially loved to hear about her son, Tim and daughter-in-law, Laura’s stories about her nine young great-nieces and great-nephews. She was born December 10, 1923 in Bessemer, Pennsylvania. Louella was the last surviving child of Charles B. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Carl B. And Eldred Nord and five sisters, Phoebe Nord, Lois Bair, Marjorie Keane, Mary Jane Sigler and Arley Ann Nord.

Her home was always open and welcoming to strays – friends of her children, family members, her friends and even a dog or cat or two. She leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and service. We will honor her life by following the example she set for each of us. Karen Schlosser was born on January 6, 1951 to Henry and Esther Germann in Evansville, Indiana. She attended Harrison High School and later Purdue University where she majored in Health and Human Services Education.

Karen was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and played clarinet in the Purdue symphony band. After graduation, Karen moved to Plymouth, Indiana and worked at Plymouth Foundry for over 40 years in purchasing and accounting. Karen actively served the Plymouth community by volunteering with the Marshall County Purdue Alumni Club, including serving as a President.
